Question: how long does it take to build a courtyard block like you are describing? Not the approval process, but from breaking ground to move in ready.
Typically they are built incrementally over multiple years (and this is because they are comprised of many different buildings, and are not a single development). But each building will take about 14-18 months to build (this is based on my observation of construction period for buildings of this size in Chicago). Multiple buildings could of course be built at the same time.
